Survey Programmer
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Survey Programmer will work cross functionally with project managers, research analysts and the programming department to define and implement on-line surveys. Your work will allow you to build relationships within multiple functional areas to help identify and build upon opportunities to drive customer-centric solutions.
You have passionate desire to drive for end results and see projects through to completion. You are skilled in identifying and designing streamlined processes and understand the concept of continuous improvement. You have a customer-centric bias and will lend your experiences to the projects you're directly driving as well as those others in which you are a stakeholder.
You should enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere, prefer a small-business, fast paced working environment. You will have strong project management skills as well as a thorough understanding of basic software product development processes. Knowledge of application development technologies is a definite asset. Additionally, you have a solid understanding of process design and you must have strong cross-group collaboration, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills. A bachelor's degree in IT, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
Duties
- Manage all client requirements and queries and solve their problems swiftly.
- Nurture client relationships and be responsive to client requirements
- Controlling vendor issues, coordinating worker activities, preparing sales strategies, reconciling data, communicating internal data to upper management and finding new ways to improve services.
- Contribute toward the development of strategies to increase efficiencies and success of all projects.
- Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients
- Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities.
- Review all research and communications sent for programming for errors and potential technical complications.
- Transfer and convert research and communication documents into our online research platforms.
- Work cohesively with the programming department, project managers and research team to ensure that there are no errors and that all client and research requirements have been met.
- Responsible for quality assurance of all projects prior to deployment.
Job Requirements
- Fresh Intelligence is looking for someone with high attention to detail and who is able to perform under pressure whilst maintaining the highest standards.
- Two to five years of related industry experience in fast pace environments.
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent;
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Action Script are required, other languages are an asset.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot and validate code;
- Ability to be inventive, creative; a unique thinker and implement ideas into real online tools;
- Knowledge of Confirmit or other survey environments would be preferred
- Ability to master the use of software applications quickly is required;
- Knowledge of software development workflows and how quality is integrated in these processes;
- Experience in using online content management systems (CMS) would be preferred;
- Bilingualism would be an asset;
- Strong command of the English language;
- Knowledge and/or experience working with quantitative research (specifically survey design and online survey programming);
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and FTP skills;
- Superior organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple and shifting priorities and to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to work with multiple teams (cross functional); and
- Must be attracted to a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
